Facebook is currently testing functionality that could rival and unsettle LinkedIn. It was announced yesterday that Facebook will allow business page administrators to create job postings and receive applications from candidates.
LinkedIn currently makes most of its revenue from recruiters paying for job adverts and headhunting. Could this move from Facebook be damaging to the current B2B platform?
A spokesperson from Facebook said “Based on behaviour we’ve seen on Facebook, where many small businesses post about their job openings on their Page, we’re running a test for Page admins to create job postings and receive applications from candidates,”. (Reuter, 2016)
